Dangote refinery plans nationwide fuel distribution
Dangote refinery plans nationwide fuel distribution, deploys 4,000 CNG tankers to boost pms, diesel transportation in Nigeria
The management of Dangote Petroleum Refinery in Nigeria has promised all marketers, petrol dealers, manufacturers, telecom firms, aviation, and other large users of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and diesel free logistics to boost the distribution network across the country.
In a statement by The Refinery Management on X, the Lagos-based refinery said the initiative would commence on August 15, 2025.
The refinery also said it has procured 4,000 brand-new compressed natural gas (CNG)-powered tankers for the take-off of the initiative.
The management added that the refinery will offer a credit facility to those purchasing a minimum of 500,000 litres, allowing them to obtain an additional 500,000 litres on credit for two weeks under a bank guarantee.
The refinery said it has also invested in compressed natural gas (CNG) stations, commonly referred to as daughter booster stations, supported by a fleet of over 100 CNG tankers across the country to ensure seamless product distribution.
Furthermore, the refinery said that the initiative is to drive job creation, stimulating small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), adding that it will increase government revenue, improve fuel access in rural and underserved communities, and strengthen investor confidence in Nigeria’s downstream petroleum sector.
It is therefore appreciated that the Federal Government of Nigeria continues to support it, especially through the Naira-for-Crude scheme, which has helped stabilize fuel supply amid global price volatility.
