Gisela Amponsah Questions Praise for President Mahama
Gisela Amponsah Says She Can’t Identify Achievements Behind Mahama Praise
Gisela Amponsah has questioned the praise being directed at John Dramani Mahama, stating that her personal experience does not reflect the positive narratives she has been hearing.
Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM, the Ghanaian influencer, Gisela Amponsah said she has not seen clear improvements in her daily life that would justify the level of commendation being expressed.
According to her, she is unable to point to any specific achievement by the president that stands out.
“I can’t say anything about Ghanaians praising President Mahama because I don’t know what he is being praised for. I’ve not personally experienced anything for me to think he’s doing well or not,” she said.
Amponsah also highlighted ongoing power outages, commonly known as dumsor, as part of her current reality. She noted that electricity disruptions persist in her area, adding that there was no power at her home shortly before she left for the interview.
“I can’t pinpoint exactly what he has done to deserve praises,” she added.
Her comments reflect a broader conversation around governance and lived experience, where public opinion is often shaped by everyday conditions such as access to reliable electricity.
While some Ghanaians continue to express support for the administration, others measure performance through direct impact on their daily lives.
Amponsah’s remarks add another perspective to the ongoing national discussion, highlighting the gap that can exist between public praise and individual experience.
I can’t pinpoint exactly what Prez Mahama has done that deserves praises. Even when I was leaving home this morning, there was Dumsor.
