Felix Afena-Gyan Robbed During Ghana’s Mexico Trip
Thieves Raid Afena-Gyan’s Home While He Was Away With Black Stars
Felix Afena-Gyan has reportedly fallen victim to a burglary after thieves broke into his home in Bergamo, Italy, while he was away on international duty with the Ghana national football team.
According to reports, the incident happened while the Ghanaian forward was in Mexico with the Black Stars for an international friendly ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The burglars allegedly forced their way into the property before carrying out a targeted search through the footballer’s belongings.
Several valuables were reportedly stolen from the house, including luxury watches, jewellery, designer bags, shoes, and other personal items.
Photos and reports from the scene indicated that parts of the residence were left ransacked following the break-in.
Authorities in Italy are expected to investigate the burglary, with early indications suggesting the attackers may have known Afena-Gyan was away with the national team.
Despite the incident, the striker is expected to remain with Ghana’s squad as preparations continue ahead of the World Cup.
The Black Stars recently suffered a 2-0 defeat to Mexico in a preparatory friendly match and are set to face Wales in another warm-up game before the tournament begins.
