World Champion Pierre Wolnik Dies in Alps Jump
World-renowned French skydiver Pierre Wolnik has died following a skydiving accident in the Mont Blanc region of the French Alps.
According to reports by The Sun, the 37-year-old freefall champion leapt from a helicopter above the Alpine mountain range intending to complete a wingsuit flight. However, the jump ended in tragedy after an apparent miscalculation in altitude.
Reports indicate that Wolnik’s parachute failed to deploy despite multiple attempts to activate it. He subsequently fell at high speed before crashing in the Bossons area near Mont Blanc.
