SoAfrican Founder Arrested for Alleged Drugging and Assault Case

Ghana Fashion Entrepreneur Remanded Over Assault Allegations

Soafricann FounderJoshua Kojo Anane Boateng, the entrepreneur behind the Ghana-themed clothing brand Soafricann, has been arrested and remanded by police over allegations involving drug-facilitated sexual assault and the non-consensual distribution of explicit content.

According to investigators, Boateng is accused of using sedatives, including Xanax and midazolam, to incapacitate multiple women throughout 2025.

Police allege that after drugging the victims, he sexually assaulted them, filmed the acts without consent, and later distributed the recordings through a private Telegram channel reportedly named “VIP Sleep Fetish 2025.”

The suspect was arrested following a police operation at his residence in East Legon.

During the raid, investigators reportedly retrieved several mobile phones, a laptop, hard drives, and sachets containing suspected drugs. The items have since been taken for forensic examination as part of ongoing investigations.

Boateng was later arraigned before court and remanded into custody pending further proceedings.

Reacting to the case, CID Director-General Lydia Yaako Donkor urged members of the public to report similar incidents to the police.

She described the case as a serious reminder of the growing dangers linked to drug-facilitated sexual assault, especially within nightlife settings and private social environments.

She also warned about the risks associated with the non-consensual sharing of intimate content on encrypted digital platforms.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to identify possible additional victims and analyse evidence retrieved during the operation.
