Ghanaian fashion icon Nana Akua Addo has revealed why she consistently goes all out with her extravagant fashion appearances at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.
Speaking on United Showbiz, Nana Akua Addo explained that the organisers of the award scheme make invited celebrities feel appreciated through luxury hospitality, accommodation, and financial support.
According to her, invited guests receive appearance fees that can range from a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars depending on sponsorship deals attached to the event.
“When AMVCA invites you, your accommodation, your tickets, they give out money, sometimes $200, other times $3000, depending on sponsors,” she said.
She explained that the payments increase based on the number of days celebrities are expected to stay for the event.
“That money is just for one day, so the number of days they want you to stay multiplies it,” she added.
Nana Akua Addo also disclosed that organisers place invited guests in luxury hotels and fully take care of their experience throughout the award period.
“They also put you in the best hotels decorated nicely, just for activation,” she stated.
The fashion influencer said the level of treatment and recognition she receives at the AMVCA motivates her to invest heavily in her elaborate red carpet looks every year.
“They make you feel like a queen,” she added.
