Police Hunt Patricia Osei Boateng Over Kumasi Robbery
Patricia Osei Boateng Wanted in Kumasi Murder Case and 'Duku' robbery gang
The Ghana Police manhunt for Patricia Osei Boateng has intensified following new developments in the Kumasi robbery case that resulted in the death of Andrews Amankwa. Authorities confirmed that four suspects have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting at Ohwim Tigo Junction, while the Kumawood actress and entrepreneur is now being sought for questioning over her alleged role in the events surrounding the crime.
Police investigations indicate that Patricia Osei Boateng is the wife of a suspected armed robbery gang leader known as Duku, who was allegedly involved in the robbery. Duku was shot dead during an exchange of gunfire with officers shortly after the incident. According to information cited by Crime Check and seen by GhanaWeb on February 26, 2026, the actress is believed to have assisted him before his death.
Authorities suspect that she may have helped Duku evade detection by posing as a nurse during police checks. Reports also claim that she has since left the country, with suggestions that she travelled to Dubai after some of the robberies under investigation. Police have not publicly confirmed her current whereabouts but say efforts are underway to locate her.
The case centres on the robbery and murder of Andrews Amankwa, who was shot during the attack at Ohwim Tigo Junction in Kumasi. The victim has been identified as the father-in-law of Sammy Gyamfi. The incident prompted swift action from law enforcement agencies.
Inspector-General of Police Christian Tetteh Yohuno stated on February 23, 2026, that a special investigative team was immediately formed after the crime was reported. The task force included the Ashanti Regional Commander, the Regional Intelligence Team, the Anti-Robbery Unit and the Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team from the CID Headquarters. Their coordinated efforts led to early breakthroughs in the investigation.
The first significant arrest occurred on February 18, 2026, when Akwesi Manu was apprehended in possession of the deceased’s Samsung mobile phone. Police say further arrests followed as investigators worked to dismantle what they describe as a suspected armed robbery gang linked to the Kumasi robbery case.
While four individuals are currently in custody, attention has now shifted to locating Patricia Osei Boateng. Police have not formally charged her but have indicated that she is a person of interest in the ongoing investigation. The Ghana Police manhunt continues as authorities seek to clarify her alleged involvement and determine the full extent of the network behind the robbery.

As the investigation progresses, law enforcement officials say they remain committed to ensuring accountability in the Andrews Amankwa murder case. Further updates are expected as police complete interrogations and pursue additional leads related to the incident at Ohwim Tigo Junction.
