RNAQ Offers GH¢2M, Houses and Cars to End Divorce Battle

RNAQ Raises Ex-Wife’s Settlement from GH¢300K to GH¢2M

Richard Nii Armah Quaye Opens Up on Family, Rumours and ReconciliationGhanaian businessman Richard Nii Armah Quaye, popularly known as RNAQ, has reportedly increased the financial settlement offered to his ex-wife, Joana Coffie, from GH¢300,000 to GH¢2 million as efforts continue to resolve their divorce dispute outside court.

According to a statement from RNAQ’s legal team dated May 7, 2026, and later discussed on Peace FM by Ola Michael on May 22, the businessman has also added several properties and luxury vehicles to the proposal.

“With respect to the alimony of GH¢300,000 as ordered by the High Court, our client has enhanced that amount to GH¢2 million,” part of the statement read.

Beyond the cash offer, RNAQ is reportedly prepared to complete renovation works on their jointly owned matrimonial home and transfer full ownership of the property to Joana.

The businessman has also offered a separate three-bedroom house in Dansoman as part of the settlement package.

In addition, he is proposing to replace the vehicles earlier assigned by the court with brand-new cars, including a Mercedes-Benz E-Class and another vehicle of Joana’s choice.

The latest development adds another chapter to the highly publicised divorce case between the former couple.

Joana, who was married to RNAQ for 16 years, has maintained that she played a major role in building the businesses connected to his wealth.

When the divorce proceedings began, she reportedly demanded a GH¢50 million settlement and additional benefits.

In 2023, she also filed a complaint with the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU), alleging that she was forced out of their matrimonial home in Dansoman.

On January 20, 2026, the Accra High Court officially dissolved the marriage.

Justice Kofi Dorgu awarded Joana GH¢300,000 as financial provision, a one-third share of the matrimonial home, two Jaguar vehicles, and GH¢5,000 monthly for the upkeep of their three children.

However, the court rejected her GH¢50 million request, stating that divorce cases should not become opportunities for financial gain.

Joana later filed an appeal through her lawyer, former Attorney-General Godfred Yeboah Dame, arguing that the trial court failed to properly apply Ghanaian law on marital property.

She also filed an injunction application seeking to stop RNAQ from selling or transferring selected assets and company shares until the appeal process is concluded.

Meanwhile, RNAQ has publicly stated that he hopes both parties can resolve their differences peacefully for the sake of their children.
