Yul Edochie Speaks On Marriage, Boundaries And Judy Austin
Yul Edochie has opened up about how he first met his estranged wife, May Edochie, while reflecting on his early relationship journey.
Speaking during a recent appearance on The Honest Bunch Podcast, the Nollywood actor revealed that he got married at the age of 22 after meeting May years earlier during his General Certificate Examination (GCE).
According to him, they first crossed paths at the same examination centre while writing the exams.
“I got married to May when I was 22 years old. We met when I was writing GCE. We were in the same centre,” he said.
During the conversation, Edochie also shared his views on relationships and the importance of setting boundaries.
The actor advised men not to lose themselves completely in relationships, stressing that love should not come at the expense of self-respect.
“They no dey mumu for woman. No! You must set boundaries,” he said.
Explaining further, he added that constantly accepting everything in a relationship without limits could become unhealthy.
“Mumu na anything wey she do, you take am. Anything wey she do, you take am, ‘Ah, I love her.’ But no, you must set boundaries,” he stated.
The discussion later shifted to his controversial marriage to Judy Austin, which has remained a major topic on social media.
One of the podcast hosts asked whether he consulted May before marrying Judy Austin as a second wife, a question that reignited conversations around his personal life and family decisions.
