Hussein Mohammed, President of the Football Kenya Federation (FKF), expressed optimism about the partnership, especially as Kenya positions itself to host major tournaments like the African Nations Championship (CHAN).

“Technology is the future of African football. Our readiness to host CHAN reflects how serious Kenya is about becoming a continental football powerhouse,” Mohammed stated.

He thanked both CAF and the Kenyan government for their sustained investment in sports infrastructure, highlighting recent upgrades to national stadiums and training facilities.

“AI will change the face of sports in Africa, and football is only the beginning. We’re not just sponsoring—we’re investing in dreams,” Jiang said.

The initiative aims to support aspiring footballers across the continent by combining tech-driven performance analysis, mobile-based learning, and digital visibility for scouting.

Representing CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe, Secretary General Veron Mosengo-Omba hailed the growing global reach of African football. He pointed to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Côte d’Ivoire, which drew 1.5 billion television viewers and over 2.5 billion digital streams—proof that African football is commanding global attention.

Luxolo September, CAF’s Director of Communications, expanded on the organization’s commitment to youth development and women’s football. He highlighted the success of the CAF Schools Football Championship, where winners receive a $200,000 prize to enhance local education and sports infrastructure.

“Under President Motsepe, we’ve launched the CAF Women’s Champions League and witnessed the rise of the highest-paid female footballer in the world—from Africa. We’re not just building teams—we’re building futures,” September added.
