Ga Mantse Stable After Oti Region Road Crash
Ga Mantse Stable After Early Morning Road Accident in Oti Region
The Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, is reported to be in stable condition after his vehicle was involved in a road accident in the early hours of Wednesday.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:00 am at Pai-Katanga in the Oti Region as the traditional ruler was returning to Accra from Tamale.
Sources close to the palace indicate that the Ga Mantse had travelled to the Northern Region on a private visit at the invitation of the Yaa Naa. The meeting was described as cordial and significant, forming part of ongoing efforts by traditional authorities to deepen unity and mutual respect among Ghana’s historic institutions.
Such high-level engagements between traditional leaders are often viewed as symbolic gestures reinforcing inter-ethnic harmony and national cohesion.
While journeying back to the capital, the Ga Mantse’s vehicle was involved in an accident under circumstances that have not yet been fully disclosed.
He escaped without injury and is said to be in good spirits. Palace insiders describe the mood as one of relief and gratitude following confirmation that he remains unharmed.
Personnel from the Ghana Police Service reportedly responded swiftly after being alerted to the scene. Details surrounding the cause of the crash have not been officially released.
News of the accident initially prompted concern among members of the Ga State and the wider public. However, confirmation of the Ga Mantse’s stable condition has eased fears.
Traditional rulers in Ghana hold both cultural and symbolic significance, and their movements often draw attention, particularly when they involve inter-regional diplomacy.
For now, attention has shifted from anxiety to thanksgiving, as the Ga Mantse recovers from what could have been a far more serious incident.
