Ibrahim Mahama Offers Business Support to Ghanaian Returnee After Xenophobia Ordeal in South Africa

Ghanaian business mogul Ibrahim and Emmanuel AsamoahGhanaian business mogul Ibrahim Mahama has pledged to establish a cement distribution and construction hardware depot for Emmanuel Asamoah, a Ghanaian who recently returned home from South Africa after reportedly experiencing xenophobic attacks.

The support comes shortly after Ibrahim Mahama assured Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs of his willingness to assist Ghanaians affected by xenophobia in South Africa.

During a meeting at his office, which was attended by Ghana’s High Commissioner to South Africa, Ibrahim Mahama encouraged Ghanaians living abroad under difficult conditions to consider returning home to help build the country.

He also urged Ghanaians facing hardship overseas to return home to either start businesses or learn vocational trades.

According to him, support systems are available to help affected individuals rebuild their lives and regain stability in Ghana.

As part of the intervention, Ibrahim Mahama presented Emmanuel Asamoah with GH¢200,000 to support him and his family before the launch of the new business venture in Accra.

Asamoah reportedly decided to move into the hardware business after leaving behind his nail and hairdressing enterprise in South Africa following the xenophobic incidents.
