73 Officials Selected for AFCON 2025 as CAF Pushes Refereeing StandardsThe Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has released the list of match officials selected for the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025. The tournament will run from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026.

A total of 73 officials have been appointed. This includes 28 referees, 31 assistant referees, and 14 VAR officials. They were chosen from across the continent and represent every region. Many of them have handled major CAF competitions, which adds strong experience to the upcoming tournament.

All officials will arrive in Morocco on 15 December. They will take part in a preparatory course led by the CAF Referees Department. The programme will feature physical tests, technical sessions, and classroom work to ensure they are ready for the competition.
