While on leave in January 2021 and en route to his next duty station, Adams was blindsided by an unprovoked assault. The attack resulted in severe facial trauma, requiring multiple surgeries and intensive medical care. He was placed in a medically induced coma and awoke a month later in a military hospital in Texas, his body wrapped in bandages, unable to see or move.
Despite the trauma, Adams has turned his tragedy into triumph. Declaring that it was “placed on his spirit by God” to inspire others, he now dedicates his life to empowering people through storytelling, fitness, and motivation.
